Just went to the cinema a few weeks ago to see Pirates and they installed a new digital marquee in the ticket booth, ala clifton commons and loews wayne. Nothing much has changed in the cinema…
According to the AMC website, the theatre is scheduled to open sometime in the fall of this year. Any updates on the construction and what the theatre will offer when it opens?
I heard from a relative of mine that they added the front of the theatre while they do construction. Any status on the new building and when they open?
How long will Clearview own the Ziegfeld? I heard that it’s showing Cars when it opens this weekend; it will draw crowds; saw a funny trailer featuring one of the characters in cars talking to a cell-phone; that ad was a promo for the movie by Clearview. BTW, do they show the Clearview pre-show at the ziegfeld? If so, do people who go there complain about it because the movie’s not on time?
Probably. What are they building there? The only closest theatres owned by clearview that are still open is the washington township theater and the closter cinema.
does it still play movies? There are two other theatres in the montclair area, the clairidge (which I’ve been too) and the bellevue, both owned by clearview cinemas. The screening zone is no longer there.
Sounds like a weird story, Paul. Thank God he’s back at work at a nice theatre. The audience listened, then responded, and now he’s back at work (reference to THX since that theatre has one auditorium with THX sound).

The Clifton Public Library has some pretty good microfilm. Last time I was there, they were in pristine condition and have every issue of the times and record; I look at the arts and leisure section to read which theatres existed, and the tenplex was there since the mid 1960’s…when the tenplex closes, it will be one of the longest running theatres on a major highway of all time.

You’re right, Dave.

you’re right on that, ctcrouch.
I don’t know. I can’t see what was written as I watched the traffic report on the driscoll bridge.
Another stupid theatre chain is clearview, although they manage the ziegfeld theatre very well. THey should hire the tattooed guy!!!
Maybe Regal Cinema should hire him instead, they’re a good theatre company.

Just went by where the theatre is being built, and it looks huge!!! Any updates on when it will open?
THat’s sound cool. What has changed at the theatre since its opening in 1994?
How does the Ziegfield compare to other clearview cinemas in the tri-state area?
Is the firm responsible for building the new theatre in Rockaway TOwnsquare Mall (the building firm)?

THat’s pretty cool, Bill. Too bad the giant screen that the theatre was known for was cut up into ten theatres.
nope, that theatre is the Loews Stroud Mall 7….the Foxmoor is in Marshall’s Creek.
By the way, Mr. Fink, when does the new theatre open? I heard rumors that it might be fall of this year…
