What a mess this place is! Attended a screening there yesterday! The place stunk, a lousy moldy damp smell. There was no AC in theatre 6, but the hall way was nice and cool. The picture was out of focus, and even though I told a seeminly brain damaged usher twice about it, nothing was done! Last time I go there.
The Empire has bargain matinees “Early am Cinema” Fridays, Saturdasy, Sundays and Holidays for all shows before 12 noon! Its only 6.00! A real bargain for Manhattan!
Saw “ONCE” there this past weekend. Uncomfortable seats and it looks like a maze to walk throgh. I am sure this place will close soon. Its now a REGAL Cinema.At least a half hour of ads and previews!
The neighborhood has gone very upscale now and the cinemas would now be welcome if they programmed movies like the “QUAD” in the village or the undergound “Lincoln Plaza” cinemas/
Just drove by the E Walk, the LOEWS letters have been taken out of the large Vertical sign , It is just a big gray skeleton now with no lights or letters! They will probably be replaced with REGAL , hopefully they will not take it down, as it is a great sign!

The Pilgrim had a large cinemascope screen, one tof the largest in Boston!

Its still closed! Too bad NYC loses another theatre! Its getting to be slim pickens!
Oh Oh The Beekman 1 and 2 across the street from this thaetre is now “CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS” . Is this also going to be shuttered?

Loews was always having problems with their sign! Everything is junk today!
Yes saw it today! Different type of lighting, but it looks good! Surprised there was no crown on it! lol
