Some theaters still have the surround sound signage next to each screen although SDDS is no longer at this theater and is being replaced by digital surround sound (Lossless).
This cinema was ahead of its time. The smoking section was removed soon after most cinemas forced a no smoking ban in the 1970s. It was also the first THX certified cinema in New Jersey when Temple of Doom opened in 1984. Sadly it closed down when the 9 screen essex green opened in 1997 and was the first general cinema in NJ to have stadium seating and THX, followed by Clifton Commons in 1999 before AMC took over both locations and removed the THX signage.
Several theaters have reopened with the amc signature recliners. I bet reserved seating is coming soon when all the other screens reopen just like what they did to east hanover last year.
The second largest screen in this complex will no longer have 70mm projection leaving the lincoln square imax with a 70mm Imax projector as well as a laser projector. No more SDDS.
It seems that AMC rolled out its own version of moviepass called A-List which allows amc stubs members to see up to three movies in any format a day for $20. The downside is that alternative content is excluded from this program.
I wonder how this theater will survive when every other theater is being renovated…
Once Cinemark opens its doors, there will be three theaters in Wayne, just like the last time this theater was around.

This theater was shown during coverage of a royals game today and was featured in AMCs coming soon snipes in the late 2000s.

If amc renovates the other screens that don’t have recliners, they should check the seats for any bedbugs!!!
It’s July already…
Do other studios show movies on that screen besides WB?
Is it the largest dolby cinema in the tri state?
It’s now partly renovated
Now it’s Burbank 30
15 years ago it was gone.
Happy belated 15th anniversary!!!
When did the theater close?
When did dolby get installed?
On this date 30 years ago coming to America debuted. It became one of Eddie Murphy’s biggest hits.

They need to renovate this theater to compete against bay plaza and soon Harlem and add reserved seating …
Maybe different projectors?
Not only that but people checking on their phones lol…
Did they show any previews before the movie ?
Was the soundtrack the original six track from 1968 or the 5.1 remix?
