Yeah, mike did not do it. Mike thought many times of doing it on that marquee with my hero Clint E. But i guess i was just too lazy,or thought i will do it one night!
Great ad i wonder of all the people to look at that movie ad did they notice “THE CYCLE SAVAGES” rated R with Melody Patterson? hey, wasn’t she that sweet young lady on the TV show “F-TROOP” Melody, i am shocked!
Tlsloews. I was lucky at every theatre i worked there was usually a employee, usually a girl, that was snapping pictures at work. That is how i got 90% of mine. I can see you must not have had such luck. You outta see what Robin has. I bet 50 or 60 snapshots of theatres she worked.WHY DIDN’T WE THINK OF THAT!
Right now my show call is at 2pm so they must have cut the show big time which happens when no tickets are sold. I can’t turn down the call because as Bill knows since he was a stagehand one can make close to two hundred a show.Money i need. But if there is any way i will be there. Couldn’t get ahold of the Tinneys. She is a greeter at Augusta Mall and he works in getting the paper out everyday.
Even if i don’t show up we {the gang from 74-80} plan on meeting back at that Mexican restraunt on Boy Scott Rd. This fall.
I will try and give him a call also the Tinneys, but i just don’t know if they would drive that far even though once you get on BOBBY JONES you can be there pretty quick. It took me more time to drive from Evans to Martinez,Than Martinez to your place.
See TLSLOEWS,our Plitt Theatre people are such nice folks.between you and me: Robin is going to wish i never told about this site,But i figured she would be like the rest of my theatre folks and never get on. I am still surprizes we can have a reunion like last fall at a mexican restrauant and all these guys show up and talk theatre for three hours, but yet NONE of them will get on CT.Personal ? i just don’t know.
Does anyone know if there was a MAJESTIC THEATRE in Kansas City? reason I ask was there was a short lived TV series “THE POPCORN KID” and it took place in the MAJESTIC. I was wondering if like the creators of WKRP had worked it such a theatre because the stories were so close to theatre life. I am glad i was able to tape a few shows before it got the ax in the mid 80’s.
If something went wrong you were suppose to know how to fix it. The trouble was in those days they expected you to be on the floor and booth.Impossible task. I think I am going to call Nick and see if he is okay.
Look you teach school and you don’t have time for all this EXTRA HOMEWORK.I still think you should print most your stuff. and don’t forget Atlanta. I still hit your theatres up there for Stories!
Hey, go to GCC CITADEL MALL if you haven’t.I left a post somewhere for you on the Citadel. It is a story about the actor George KEnnedy,as told by Barry, one of my theatre buddies i can’t get on CT.
Hey, Nick, Andy beat you with this theatre, but I know you can add much more.
In 1956 it parked 470 cars and was owned by Home Theatres.
Yeah, mike did not do it. Mike thought many times of doing it on that marquee with my hero Clint E. But i guess i was just too lazy,or thought i will do it one night!
I wish I could get these guys to write! It is not like they are SHY,they worked in a MOVIE THEATRE!
Maybe she worked here.Andy.

It parked 350 cars and was owned by a Mr.Edwards in 1956.no first name given.
Robin, get ready for some stories from Tlsloews. He has been reading all our history, now it is time for him to start confessing.
I suggest we move our theatre talk to one of TLSLOEWS Nashville theatres,my hand is getting tired scrolling down these posts.
Andy, your OUTDOOR DRIVE-In parked 275 cars and was owned by Mrs.J.E.Raulerson in 1956.
It is simply amazing as big as KNOXVILLE is and no one to comment on this twin drive-in. the old DIXIE-LEE gets more comments.

You are a Theatre guy that is all ANY of us need to know. I can’t wait to see what she puts on for you.
I love looking at those ads.Theatre business has certainly changed for the worst.
I will try and give him a call also the Tinneys, but i just don’t know if they would drive that far even though once you get on BOBBY JONES you can be there pretty quick. It took me more time to drive from Evans to Martinez,Than Martinez to your place.
Robin.I haven’t gotten a show call yet for that concert. It had only sold 600 tickets,so they might cancel.
