This opened as Station Cinema on December 14th, 1973 *December 14th, 1973, opened with one screen with 406 seats by Villa Theatres

*1985 owner: Famous Players

*1988 owner: Ontario Theatre Group

*April 10th, 1989, closed

*June 9th, 1989, reopens with five screens

*July 4th, 1997, 7 screens

*January: 1999 closed, five screens were reused for the new Galaxy

*June 7th, 2000, reopens as Galaxy Cinemas @ Station Square. Every household in town got a VHS tape with previews of movies playing here.

*2014 downsized to seven screens

*2015 became the last cinema in the bi-national area after the Carmike Cinemas closed on the other side of the border.

This was the last Rank-built Odeon theatre to be built in Canada opening on September 16th. 1977. The chain was sold in November 1977 to Canadian Theatres. Grand opening ads posted.
