5 years ago this past week during a midnight showing of TDKR everything changed. This forced exhibitors to show Thursday night advance showings at earlier times and to increase security around the theaters.

It wasn’t until 1993 when Loews returned to Morris County with the opening of the East Hanover 12 plex. At one point Loews was to build what would become the AMC Rockaway 16.
On my facebook news feed as well as twitter I’ve seen ads for Dolby Cinema at AMC Rockaway along with the featured movie which is War for the Planet of the Apes which I plan to see soon…i didn’t care for seeing it in 3d like the last one which was fine in 2d.
I wonder if any bugs have infested this building since it closed down; at the time of the closing, digital projection was in its infancy, imax was just a luxury, and recliners and reserved seating were only for Europeans.
not really. At least the audio mix was good. I wonder which auditoriums have 7.1 speakers…probably the larger ones sans imax. When the dolby cinema at amc opens, it will be the first ever Dolby Atmos location in morris county if not northwest jersey. As for the 3d conversion ,it was terrible. The showtime that my dad picked was 3d by mistake. The trailers before the film were ok in 3d such as Valerian which was shot in 3d. The AMC first look in 3d was good. The 2d trailers looked fine.
Just came back from seeing Spiderman Homecoming. Very good movie although the 3d was very blurry in spots. Sound was good. They got more stuff to put in that Dolby Cinema and they have the signs up. I can’t wait…
a 70mm trailer for The Last Jedi is being shown before the imax version of Dunkirk and seats are filling up fast!!!
Picture should be updated with the cinepolis sign.
hans zimmer is performing here next week.
1.9:1.

That theater is in alderwood, wa.
I saw on the news that this theater’s parking lot was the site of vandalism of cars. Security needs to be stepped up at this place.
The auditorium will open late summer according to a chat with Dolby Cinema’s chatbot on messenger.
Are there any film reels damaged?
I don’t see amc rockaway mentioned on their dolby cinema website…
With the Poconos movieplex gone, this is the only theater in town.

Reserved seating will arrive soon at this theater.

They are doing road work near the mall so be aware of that, cinedelphia.
Yeah. It’s actually an hour and 40 minutes if the credits are long…

Auditorium #10.
add to that 30 minutes of trailers and 20 minutes of ads it’s fairly long.
