TF was 98 percent shot in imax 3d. Avengers Infinity War and its sequel will break that record for imax footage as both will be shot back to back in imax 2d then converted into 3d. Inhumans was shot in imax and the first two episodes will make their debut in imax theatres before broadcasting on ABC days after the premiere.

If this theater still played movies, me and my dad would have enough money to buy some tickets and go see a movie and reserve a seat like the good old days. The reserved seating for movies has been around since the roadshow era but has gained popularity by the major chains recently due to renovations of older theaters that have worn out seats. Imagine if the Ziegfeld had recliners had Bow Tie continued to operate it. Some of the bow tie theaters around the area have closed due to lease expirations.
advance tickets go on sale for Dunkirk on June 23rd according to a tv spot that aired during last night’s Game 5 of the NBA Finals. I bet the 70mm tickets will sell fast.
35 years ago yesterday ET played here on one screen while Conan continued to play on another. Later on, ET would be played on two screens due to popular demand and the rest is history.
35 years ago yesterday ET made its Paramus debut at this theater and made box office history while the Route 4 sevenplex had Grease 2 in Dolby Stereo. The film would become one of the most popular in this venue.
Imax is losing money due to competition from Dolby and other premium formats and their stock price shows that. AMC is also suffering too but should recover by the fall if the summer box office does well.
According to a friend of mine who works at this theater, the Dolby cinema will open on July 15th, right around when War for the Planet of the Apes comes out. Pricing will be the same as IMAX, and there will be reserved seating and premium power recliners to go along with it alongside the 4k quality projection and immersive dolby atmos sound, which has become common on recent bluray releases in 4k.

I think there is increased security at London theaters like this due to yesterday’s horrible terror attack near London Bridge. On a lighter note, Wonder Woman played here as well as other european theaters before the night showings in america and canada. Belgium got the movie first on the 31st of May.
65 years ago Speilberg went to see his first movie that made him want to be a director. 35 years ago next Sunday marks the release of ET. Did this movie play at this theater?

Theater’s name should be changed to AMC East Hanover 12. The Loews name has been dropped as of this weekend.

Ok. I think the theme park is more popular than the cinema here. AMC should also renovate the Universal cinema in Orlando too.
When did RKO sell the theater?
Wonder woman is being played at this venue in 70mm according to Fandango.
I know that via amc’s website. My local amc in rockaway is getting dolby cinema soon.
it’s still among the top listed theaters on the home page of CT.
