The dark seats in the front were wooden backs and bottoms, the lighter color seats were padded backs and bottoms.

The Empress Theatre is listed as open in 1927. By 1933 the theatre at this address was called the Paramount Theatre. then by 1939 the theatre was called the Horstman Theatre. I could find no listing for the Empress after 1933 at this address, the Horstman operated into the late-1950’s.

This drive-in opened as the Bebe Drive-In in 1951and still known as the Bebe in 1970. It was owned by James Sullivan.

The Buffalo Theatre dates back to 1938. The theatre was located on S. Maple Street.

the Pix Theatre opened in 1942. It was still listed as open in 1957. The theatre seated 300. The building is now the home to the County Courier News.

The Grand Theatre was open prior to 1925. It was still listed as open in 1957.

The Ozaark Theatre goes back to 1930 when it opened.

This theatre was owned by George Karsch who was the owner of the Lead Belt Amusement Co. when it became the Ozark Theatre, by 1947 ownership changed to Edwards and Plumlee Theatres. They owned a number of thetres in the Lead Belt area.

This theatre goes back to 1935 when it was known as the Roxy. Should have ana AKA Roxy Theatre. According to their website the theatre name is just Big Time Cinema. The have made the conversion to digital projection with Dolby 7.1 surround sound.
