There was an Ideal drive-in listed in the 1958 IMPA for Kane, PA. This may have been an AKA if the Family opened in 1952. Owners of the Ideal in 1958 were Farrell & Piccirillo. Capacity was 348.
The 1958 IMPA lists the owner as R.H. Bisenski. I’m not sure who is spelling the name incorrectly of the two choices presented. Capacity was 250 cars at that time.
Here is an ad in Boxoffice in July 1949. I actually have this movie on VHS. It’s pretty funny, but I suppose they took it a little more seriously back then. http://tinyurl.com/yf8l9ns
You can see the Lido next to the bank in this 1972 aerial photo. By 1980 the theater is gone.

Sounds good. I will be there in May, so I will check it out. Thanks.
This was the website for the nightclub, but it no longer works.

George Larson was the owner in 1958. It had already expanded to 125 cars by that date.

Sounds good. I saw the slideshow about the interior of the Fox but the Academy is a mystery. I imagine it still looks good inside.
That’s a Saturday. I would like to see the interior of the Academy. Keep me posted.
