lol. By the way, the facebook page for AMC Rockaway is no longer there as all of the theaters have a facebook like that goes to the AMC Theatres facebook page.
I agree. What are the seating numbers for each screen? I know theater #8, #15, and #16 are the largest with #9 the imax the second and the others are smallest to the far left and far right and medium to the left and right of the big houses.
stop annoying us, hdtv267. When this theater opened back in April of 2000, the top grossing movie for the summer of that year was X-Men at the Empire since it played only there and not Loews Ewalk.
During every showing of an imax movie at the very end before the lights turn on, they have an email address for the CQO as well as Eileen on twitter. You can also facebook message the imax page. They are very helpful. I think the lincoln square imax is now the best imax on the east coast!!!
One thing they could do is remove the stars and streaks from the general cinema days. Then they can put in recliners and reserved seating. The former THX screen should be an AMC Prime. ALso, increased security at the parking lots!!!
They need to renovate this theater after they’re done with East Hanover. The last time they did it was based on the 90s star design which Loews/ Sony did after they acquired Star Theaters in the early 90s.
Plus they’re owned by China yet AMC continues to improve its a-game. The app and website are horrible plus their rewards program isn’t as good as Moviewatcher or even General Cinema Credits. They should also redo AMC in Wayne.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is having its world premiere here in less than an hour.

glad to hear it. Too bad they won’t show 7 minutes of Dunkirk with Rogue One since it’s only with 70mm screenings mostly at museums.

I think they cut back on the imax seats a bit…it used to be around 600. Theater 1 is the Loews screen with Atmos.
Too bad it won’t fill up the screen like Fantastic Beasts did.
Great article!!!

nice photo!!!
Rogue one tix now on sale in laser 3d imax, 3d, and 2d.
Soon to be surpassed by Loews Cherry Hill and AMC Hamilton 24 and then AMC Empire 25.
Soon to be surpassed by the AMC Empire 25 2 years later. I remember reading about it in the local paper back in high school.

the lease was renewed i think.

Which of the 12 screens were the largest in each complex (6 screens)?
the LED showtimes near the box office have been replaced with an HD display, as is common among most modern AMCs.
The imax was aging and seats had wear and tear. I hope they use 70mm projection when Dunkirk opens next summer.
Reserved seating now at this theater.

This is great news!!!
