I went to the Website and clicked on the pictures, looks like a nice theater. Not sure about that stoplight on the front of the building, but it’s interesting.
I think I saw somewhere (I already forgot where) that it was a twin, that makes sense with a name like Rex II, but from the Website it looks like they only show one flick, anyone know what’s going on?

Opened October 1, 1928, PERHAPS closed in 1954, PERHAPS opened again in 1958 and closed again in 1959?
The Maine & New Hampshire Theaters Company of Boston owned this theater from 1930-1961?
If we don’t know an address, how do we know the building is demolished?
It would be great if someone could answer the question marks?
tisloews, ?if no one knows the address, how does anyone know it’s not still on the site? An interesting, but sad thing for me to do is to walk around old drive-in sites and take photos. Sorta hard to do, if you don’t know the location. Perhaps others like to do the same thing. That’s why CT has a spot for an address.
This drive-in was open from ABOUT 1955-1964, I hope someone can come up with better dates?
Hi-De-Ho was made famous by Cab Calloway, the bandleader of the United States' most popular African American big band.
Augusta is a big town and evidence of the drive-in might remain. I guess tisloews dosen’t care to know the address, but if you know it, I sure would like to know it!
Anyone know the location of this drive-in in Augusta?
It was an Afro-American drive-in, but you could probably guess that from it’s name and I found it it was open from ABOUT 1953-1975? I hope someone can check those dates out and find out more info.
Mike, do you happen to know the address or crossroads of this drive-in?
I found a Martin Drive-In in Washington from ABOUT 1955-1975, it held 300 autos. Martin Theaters of Georgia, Incorporated also owned this drive-in till at least 1967. That’s all the info I have, think it’s the same theater.
Bryan, no question about it you have the right address, and Google is the one that is messed up. To quote THE MUSIC MAN “but you gotta know the territory”. I’ve been down 22nd often, so I was trying to help others not familiar with the territory find the theater, because they sure couldn’t find it by the Google Map.
In all fairness to Google, I guess with all the world they cover it’s a miracle that anyone can find as much as they can on their maps!
The building is on the south side of Cermak and the third building east of Hoyne and is tagged “Clara’s Beauty Salon”.
The address 2055 W Cermak leads to ½ block north of Cermak and 2 miles west of the theater it puts it on Drake Avenue which Google also has named west Cermak even though it runs north and south??? This new address is the only way I could get close to the Robey Theater!
Don, I’m guessing your refering to “AGAIN FOR THE LAST TIME”. You took it the wrong way, I meant it because the address had already had been requested to be changed by SiliconSam and it had in fact been changed and I was now again asking it to be changed “AGAIN FOR THE LAST TIME”. Perhaps I could have worded it better? Your comment would have been better to have been sent to me via my email which you could have gotten by clicking on my name, but here it is, if you have any further comment.
This drive-in had 1 screen and was around from ABOUT 1961-1975. Anyone with better info, please add it.
This drive-in was near the Main Gate of the U.S. Naval Air Station Dallas where I spent some time different years, but I never saw any evidence of the drive-in.
The Chisholm Trail was a trail used to drive cattle in the late 19th century from Texas to the railhead in Kansas. The cattle drive would take 2 months.

Dave, you must know about this theater, tell us more and Route 111 is kinda long, what’s it’s address or a crossroad?

Not a big deal, but I think it’s Clover Leaf?
Is the drive-in at Wilson Road & College Street, on the northeast corner?
I think the drive-in opened in 1955, MARLOWE came out in 1969. It would be great if someone could come up with the exact dates the theater was open.
I THINK it was open from ABOUT 1950-1975? Someone should check those dates and find it’s address.
Named after my wife, that’s a joke.
The only thing I found was that it was open in 1950? Any other info on the drive-in, it’s dates or address are really needed.
Mike, I found a Rebel Drive-In, in Louisville, run by Pal Amusement Co. from ABOUT 1955-1961? Any way to find out if it’s Revel or Rebel?
The only Pal Amusement Co. theater The Film Daily Year Book of Motion Pictures, 1967 in Lousiville is the Pal theater.

SEATS:
Opened in 2008.
From the Google Satellite Photo, it looks like the screen is gone, but the concession stand is still standing.
The drive-in was open from ABOUT 1955-1985?
It was owned by Vogel Theaters from 1964-1985?
