The Rex mainly showed cowboy movies and had no restrooms.

More info:Around 1930 Loews Vendrome entered an agreement with Tony Sudekum of Crescent Amusments Co, to have the Princess as the only vaude house in Nashville,the Loews getting first choice of first run movies to drop their vaude shows.

The Knickerbocker theatre had 2 entrances,one on 6th Ave North and one on 5th Ave North.

The office building at this theatre was named the Sudekum building after Tony Sudekum of Crescent amusement Co. till Martin theatres bought it in 1960 and changed the name to the Tennessee Building.

More info on the Paramonts organ,it reportly cost $50,000 and was first played by C SHARPE MINOR for 4 weeks and then by Mary Elizabeth Hicks.Other organists were Leon Cole and Bob Luck.This theatre was sold to Martin theatres in 1978.The organ ended up in a home in Evansville, Indiana.

Saw a photo of this drive-in last night on Npt Channel 8,also saw many photos of Nashvile theatres and drive-in on a show called Nasville in photos the 20th century.I had a photo of this theatre but it has been lost.

I read some where that this theatre operated for a short while,sharing a building with a dry cleaner.It was near the site of the Roxy/Woodbine theatre in east Nashville.

There was another Roxy in Nashville but it was downtown,saw a photo of it last night on NPT Channel 8, I believe it was on 6th ave.It is not listed on C.T.

By the way I do believe at least part of this theatres building is still there housing a check cashing quick loan store.This store is were the lobby would have been,the building is old I know I used to work at the Arcade and all the buildings around it are well over one hundred years old.

Saw a photo of this theatre last night on NPT it was located right by the Arcade Nashvilles First Shopping Center built in 1903,on 5th Ave North,The Dixie as stated above was built in 1907 by Crescent Amusement Co.as Nashvilles 1st “Movie Theatre”.They also had a photo of Tony Sudekum, I had never seen a picture of him but have heard about him many times.He built several theatres on 5thAve and Church Street and many others in Nashville and other cities.

Saw a show last night on Nashville Public Television Channel 8 of photos of Nashville the 20th Century. It had several shots of the Loews Vendome and some other Nashville theatres.One of the photos had a banner over the entrance door that said “Home of the MGM Pitcures at the Loews Vendome.Also had a photo of The Dixie built in 1907 as the first "Movie Theatre” in Nashville.
