Yep,Nick.I bet Bill Played it. And Robin was the manager.i am a Coke guy.Working at GCC was tough in the soft drink department.Think I drank a lot of a LOTTA LEMON.Just drove by Old NATIONAL HILLS all that left is just the Theatre and hanging off the side of the auditorium was future home “LEGENDS OF GOLF” and Hospitally. So I guess once a year when THE MASTERS is being played across the street the place will open one week for guests.
I know you weren’t.I just wish some of the articles in my old Boxoffices were right.I guess in their defense they never realized folks even be caring about it in the year 2011.Lol.
I just noticed something I had never caught, in the picture with Cindy waiting on the lady at the Concessionstand,I swear that is a Pepsi menu board above the Concession, nothing wrong with that it is just we sold Coke product there and not Pepsi. After all these years I just noticed it and bet I have looked at the picture a hundred times or more,One would think Coke would want that down.I know our Ice box had Pepsi written on it but the moviegoer wouldn’t have noticed it. We could have had Pepsi on one Fountain and Coke on the Other, but i didn’t spend that much time behind that Candy Counter.I wouldn’t even know who to ask.Robin? She hardly gets on any more. The rest of the old gang won’t get on CT.so we might have had two different sodas? Right now that is really bothering me after ALL THESE YEARS!!!
M.C. loved the “old Theatre smell” quote.Funny you don’t smell it much in these 20 plexes.Maybe the otta can it and spray it for us old theatre dawgs.lol.
Was this the Loews COLLEGE PARK 6 cinemas mentioned in BOXOFFICE about the Grand Opening? If so, it was the second area theatre to have 70mm.This 6 plex had 2,432 seats, bringing Loews to 26 screens and GCC with 31 including a Drive-in. This in Boxoffice March 1985.They change names so much I don’t know.

Mentioned in April 1985 BOXOFFICE about Plitt taking over and building a 4-Plex in Fox Valley Shooping Center in Aurora.
