The Southview Drive-In opened March 28, 1974 with James Garner in “Support Your Local Gunfighter” & Jonathan Frid in “House of Dark Shadows”. It had a car capacity listed at 1,200 cars. The drive-in closed as a three-screen theatre on October 24, 1993 and is now a truck dealership.

Bit of News from BOXOFFICE 1985, The Clermont-Deluxe and the SOUTHVIEW DRIVE-IN will adding screens according to CONSOLIDATED THEATRES taking over ownership. THE SOUTHVIEW DRIVE-in THEATRE will become a triple screen Drive-in !Guess it didn’t happen.

FYI this theater closed with 3 screens. In a 1992 aerial, you can clearly see 2 screens in the back of the drive in. Please update.
