The Aiken Standard called wanted to interview me on Aiken Theatres.I really don’t know that much about them,like you do on the Nashville area theatres.

Chuck doggone it Motion picture theatres need a little life in them,Use to be it was Exciting to go to the movies.I have seen some drab looking theatres on CT and I guess most are Mom and pop operations,butI have seen some mom and pop theatres look pretty jazzy.But then I only worked for Plitt and GCC which I know had a few more dollars in the old days to spend on nice locations.
Yeah,Justin,How much was make believe.think I could have found something better,But most movie bio-pics are rewritten.“THEY DIED WITH THEIR BOOTS” about the only thing they got right in that 40’s Classic was Custer was killed at LITTLE BIG HORN.
Another reason I am so glad I got of the Theatre business in 1983 after almost ten years.Guys like me are gone; that is guys like balconyclosed CAN’T ENJOY A DECENT FILM!!!!!!
Cobb Theatres was running this theatre in 1956 according to my 1956 Motion Picture Almanac with then,Mrs.Lucille Cobb.President. R.C.Cobb buyer and Booker.
Wow, “Apocalyspe Now”.Don’t be surprized,My brother said his Daughter was Shown “AIR FORCE ONE” rated R for a History class.Hadn’t figured that out yet,Lazy History teacher I guess.Lol.

It played “BATMAN"and "LETHAL WAEPON II” on the same weekend.
Ran a lot of Triple X features,then out of nowhere they have “BATMAN” and “LETHAL WEAPON II” playing together.
