The Strand Theatre opened in 1935 with seating listed at 345. This theatre was acquired by the Cobb Theatres in 1956. The theatre closed in 1978 and was demolished in 1999.

Cobb Theatres was running this theatre in 1956 according to my 1956 Motion Picture Almanac with then,Mrs.Lucille Cobb.President. R.C.Cobb buyer and Booker.
