After six months of delays, the megaplex in Inver Grove Heights is open for business.
Hundreds of people turned up Friday to catch the first 11 a.m. matinee at the ShowPlace 16 Theatres.
This opened on the site of the University drive-in in 1988 with 14 cinemas. Six more screens and a new lobby opened in 1998 with 5,876 seats. IMAX screen installed in #19 in 2006.
Lakes and River sold this cinema in 2011.
An UltraScreen opened in the old Omnimax theatre in 2012.
Showtimes has disappeared for this theatre in 2010. Is this closed?

This is the first theatre for Regal in the state opening on April 30th, 1999.

No showtimes, looks like it closed before 2005.
I cannot find showtimes for this theatre. It closed in the late 1980’s.

This became the Deja-Vu boutique by the time the Googlemobile passed it by in 2008.
