thanks James.I think about it every time I drive by.David Hyatt might the manager you are thinking about,he managed the MODJESKA and Miller Theatres Too Downtown.It was a Beautiful Twin Theatre wish you could have caught a flick there then.
When I was popping corn i use to get so pissed when they would run upstairs and grabbed what I POPPED.It got so bad the girls drew Straws to see who would go up and get the Popcorn from Mike.this AT National Hills by the time I got to Columbia Square and Regency I NO LONGER had to Pop.think the girls did it alot at Regency,I think when I started in 1974 it was the Guys JOB.Good Story. I hope to get some pictures up soon from our Regency days when Nick gets to them in Tampa.
you are right Compared to National Hills Theatre it wasn’t as Classy,But Daniel Village did have a nice size screen until Georgia Theatres decided it needed twinning.
Jim Brown Starred in “100 Rifles” I found a one sheet at the MILLER Theatre in Augusta where the Management had covered up a section of Welch and Brown in a Hug.Wonder if the Folks in Florida did the same thing.I left the one-sheet just the way they left it with the paper still on.
what Stinker to open a theatre “MAME” by sunday we were playing to near empty house; 781 seat theatre.Gone Thursday.And an Indie you say.what kind of Stupid booker did they have,

they are slowly now rewiring parts of the Theatre and plan to remove the raised floor,hopefully soon.

Still Closed.The whole place is about gone once BEST BUY and the Theatres Closed.

Must have opened later I have three Drive-ins there in the late fifties,but no Vista Vue Drive-in.
Yes, my 1956 motion Picture Almanac has a Shelby and Skyline Drive-ins open in the Fifties.
i have it being owned at one time by C.Massey.1956.
This town had three Drive-ins,all own by Saffles theatres wonder if the DREAM THEATRE was.

i will get Aiken Movie Theatre buff,Bill Barkley on this one.Had no idea Aiken had a Black theatre.

I don’t think “DUCK,You SUCKER” was a Black film,It was an Italian western if I remember right.James Coburn Starred? Can’t remember.
