Mike…I use to listen to him when I traveled to Delaware. He used to be on saturday evenings around 7pm on 1210. always wondered what happen to him….now I know. Thanks
Stopped by the West Shore this morning to check out the renovated marquee. What a terrible job!! Fred Bollen if you read Cinema Treasures or this post for your theater. Please tell me that the marquee job is not complete.
Lost Memory…Seth took some really nice shots. Whenever I visit realatives I always take a ride past the Milford to see if anything has been done to her. I wonder if he got the chance to take any pictures of the auditorium?
Elksprojectionist….I checked the website out….The pictures didn’t show. I did enjoy the history of the Elks. I am glad the new ownership is prospering. The former owner really turned me off…so much negativity. I like to see a single screen do well
James G, Yes Simon Overton is quite a character and by reading his emails is is a showman. The trait that Simon posses is something that is truly ABSENT in todays theatre onwers/managers. Looking forward to your pictures of the concession area/lobby of the Crest. I do have one picture of the concession area, and that was from a magazine article.
JaneD..John Messick here. I have never met Joe Musil, I do email a really good friend of his, Simon Overton. From what Simon tells me Joe is quite a guy. I am sure that you had a great time speaking with Joe and an equally great time at his Salon of Theatres.
Another way to make a buck, nothing wrong with that. I know of a theater in Carlisle Pennsylvania that rents to a church on Sunday mornings. Both church and theater are happy with the arrangements.
