i have so many fond memories of this theater as i managed and was district manager for this house.Standing out on the marquee at new years eve watching the ball drop and the thanksgiving day parade perfect hight for the balloons.
CINEPLEX was the company that saved the movie bsns in N.Y. and many other places. Not until CINEPLEX ODEON come along was anyone restoring or putting any money into theaters.
I WAS ONLY HERE ONCE SO I AM NOT SURE , BUT I REMEMBER IT AS A TRIPLEX. WALK IN CANDY STAND IN THE CENTER AND A TWO SIDED MARBEL STAIR CASE TO SECOND FLOOR . THE LARGEST MENS ROON I EVER SAW IN A THEATER
only in this theater once on its last day, as i worked for RKO, TO DECIED WHAT WE WERE TO REMOVE.What a bad multiplex job here but what this theater must of been like was still evident.
THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST MULTI PLEX JOBS, ALWAYS WEAK BOX OFFICE # HERE
I REMEMBER AS AKID THE BEST PLAY AREA THEY HAD A SMALL TRAIN THAT WAS AROUND THE CANDY STAND KIDS COULD RIDE
pick this up very cheap
anyone on this theatre/ looking for info
is this theater still for sale
is this theater still for sale
sorry one more comment green acres grosses have been bad for ove20 years stays open so no other chain can get its hands on it
some dogs in malls SMITHHAVEN , UA MASSAPEQUA,WHITMAN (outside ),even in there hayday were weak theaters.
true green acres did well but was located outside the mall . Kings plaza is the only theater i can think of that does well inside a mall.
the theater was on larkfield road
in that theater twice as a kid the theater was old then. The theater entrance was no the parking lot side not on the street side
Holes in walls , seats pulled out of the floors….bway did you work in the movie bsns
THIS TO BE A TARGET AS I AM TOLD
MALL THEATERS NEVER SEEM TO WORK.
looks very much like a ua house built on long island , still going strong how i do not know very close to loews monster down the street
wow.. did not think i would see this theater listed, the worst dump you ever saw played low budget crap always fun to go to
i remember that they also had the highlander series

The only theater in NEW YORK not to have a candy stand sold no food or drinks of any kind. RKO / CINEPLEX ALWAYS HELD THERE MANAGER MEETINGS HERE.

always liked this theater not big or grand but a nice theater to see a movie
