The YORK THEATER LOCATED ON ROUTE 110 IN HUNTINGTON OPENED AROUND THE SAME TIME AS THE WHITMAN .THE YORK ALMOST IDENTICAL IN LOOKS TO THE WHITMAN.ITS MAIN CLAIM TO FAME FOR CENTURY WAS ONE OF THE STRONGEST DISNEY HOUSES IN THE CHAIN ALWAYS DID SO WELL.SO THEY BOOKED R RATED MOVIES MOSTLY HERE,TYPICAL RKO/CENTURY.

NEVER A BUSY THEATER FOR RKO UNLIKE ITS SISTER THEATER COMMACK TWIN BOTH BUILT AS TWINS, THE LONGEST AUDITORIUM YOU EVER SAW . The lobby in both theaters had smoked mirrors ,the best thing about these theaters were the candy stands and ladies rooms each stall had its own sink and mirrors.

This theater always had two managers both who ran the theater for almost 40 years. The second floor or the penthouse was run by a man NICK G. The main floor was run by Genave. All the RKO theaters called this theater every night with daily box office #.
