I agree rvb. Bambi also was probably the first animated feature that involved an off-screen death of Bambi’s mom (spoiler alert!!!) by the hunter. A sequel would soon follow (direct to DVD and featuring Bambi all grown up and married to his fawn).
I researched it online, and found evidence that Clifton Commons was to open a year after its sister theater in West Orange, which was the first NJ multiplex in Northern NJ to have stadium seating and THX in one of its screens.
JJD, did you phone ahead of time as well as check showtimes on movietickets.com? Usually before the show begins a showtime is in blue meaning that things are normal. If it’s greyed out, it could mean trouble.
One week from Saturday marks one year since Rockaway got digital 3D projection, beginning with a lackluster sports doc. Boy, what a difference a summer makes. Later this year, in November, marks one year since the digital version of IMAX came to the theater. By next month, this theater will be 100% digital, showing everything from 3D movies to sporting events and live concerts. With digital comes another price increase, which is happening with the cost of paying for food.

lol
How about this story…someone puked during an IMAX 3D showing of Avatar at this theater when it first came out….must be because of the trippy visuals.
lol too.

I never seen all three Step Up movies…but I’ll give this one a shot if its still playing in 3D.
According to this article, View link , Clifton Commons was supposed to open in the fall of 1998, but was delayed until April of 1999. Why the delay?

How was step up 3d, JJD? Other than the dancing, how was the 3d? This weekend it’s playing on two screens from one screen.

Right across from where Essex Green was (now a shop-rite) its successor will become a fork and screen theater.
Good for you JJD. BTW, the short that precedes the movie was made in native 3d.
Essex Green will open first, with this theater and Bridgewater to follow.
Add Essex Green to the list of NJ theaters getting the Fork and Screen Treatment….it will be the first to open this year.
shouldn’t the status of the theater be listed as closed/renovating?

Digital projection now in all screens.
the theater is closed.
cats and dogs 3d showtimes are greyed out at clifton commons as of today…is this due to technical issues that also affected rockaway?
well that is good news.
Don’t forget that Yogi Bear will be in 3D. Yuck.
This theater now has 4k projection, which gives them an advantage over Clearview’s Mansfield with their 2k projection for digital films.
LOL, Mike. Pohatcong is a town within Phillipsburg.
Checking showtimes it says it’s closed.
