Wow, the screen doesn’t look that big, specially if your sitting in the back. Just think, in it’s last year 1980, every horror movie that came around played here..
October 16th Sunday 1983,, could have been the last night for this drive-in. the last 2 movies were 1. Strange Invaders, 2. First Blood,, doesn’t seem to be any more listings after this date.. could have been the final weekend.. The week before that October 7.8.9.10 were “Flashdance” “Still Smokin' 48 HRS. The Evil Dead played here the week prior to this..
wow,, this is a great find. sadly.. the screen came down around 1997… now its the industrial park they always wanted. with no remendts of the once great drive in..
Hey, PSMITH1983, yeah, lot of history here,, appeared to be some homeless family living in there last year or so. I quess they got tired of people going in and out so they closed every possible way in or out. It’s funny the owners of the property just leave this up as some kinda historic relic. But closed since late sept 1980!
I think a family was living inside of there last year, and now its completely boarded up..This place has been passed through over the years, at one point, you could just walk right in . It appeared as though someone was living in the upstairs room where the projection booth was…

Theres a guy in the comment section who said they started working on the church in late November 1980. and it closed by 1983… great find. sat empty till 1987 when they tore it all down..
wow, never knew this played here. by 1979 the theater was starting to decline , wish it could have held on longer.. Do you have any pictures of the cinemart in its prime,, would love to see what it looked like in the late 70’s

This came out on a Wednesday..
Appears as though a homeless family was living in the upstairs stock room a few years back, then they boarded it up really good.. kinda sad.
Its funny how little attention “Halloween” got. it only played here for a week…
Appears that the last year was 1981,, couldn’t find any further ads after 1981..
