Yallourn Theatre projection equipment on display.

A more recent addition to our heritage park is this wonderful collection of cameras. Located next to the Tynong Mechanics Institute Hall/Theatre, the collection includes this wonderful movie projector that was reconstructed in 1938 by Peter Ricketts and was once used in the Yallourn Theatre. Other items in the collection include movie cameras, developer plates and chemicals, enlarger cameras, and film, with the oldest camera dating back to the early 1900s 🎥🎞

If you’re interested in the history of film, this is an awesome exhibit to visit. Old Gippstown is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10am
