Opened with two screens called Salle Rouge and Salle Bleue on September 21, 1963. The Salle Bleue was twinned in 1980, six new screens was built at the other end of the mall in 1986 while the older three screens closed.
The Famous Players theatre showed mostly movies in French. It closed in December 2007.
