Opened on October 12, 1950, the Fox Theatre ran through at least 1968 but was demolished in the late-1980’s, a shiny new office building in its place.

The discovery of a handbill touting the opening of this theatre, named the Fox West Coast at inception, reveals that the grand opening took place Thursday October 12, 1950.

Boxoffice of July 22, 1950, said this house was being built to replace the Glen City Theatre which had been destroyed by fire the previous year. It was to have 1,100 seats. The architect of the Fox Theatre was Carl Moeller.
