Located two blocks east of the Pearl River Theatre, this was “newer” but not necessarily better than its neighbor to the west. Valued more as a community hangout than an architectural icon, built of concrete block in a plain architecture style, it was opened by 1950 and was operated by the Liggett-Florin Booking Service. They were still the operators in 1957. It couldn’t survive the opening of the Palisades Center. A Commerce Bank branch now stands on the site.
