The Majestic Theatre opened in 1921 as a silent movie theatre. From 1930 to 1987 the Majestic showed “talkies”. It then reverted back to showing silent movies again which it continues to do today. Since 6th July 2019 silent movies are accompanied live on the Compton 3Manual/8Rank theatre organ, which was originally installed in October 1937 in the ABC Regal Cinema, Chester, England, UK.
