Opened on November 5, 1985 the original 6-screen theatre in the St. Vital shopping centre located in south Winnipeg.
Consisted of six identical auditoriums with around 300 seats each. One concession bar with eight serving stations. It was closed in 1998 when the new Silvercity St Vital opened (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

I went to this theatre back in 1993 when it was still the St. Vital 6. The movie I caught there was Cool Runnings.
Does anyone have any information on the original St. Vital 6- pics, any details about what you remember?
I have a photo I took of the outside of the St. Vital 6 back when I went there, but I’d have to scan it first before downloading it.
My scan of the St. Vital 6 photo I took in 1993 is now up in the photo section.
Thanks for the photo of St. Vital 6. I wish photos of the interior existed.
I do think we should split this listing into two: SilverCity is in the mall at roughly the same location where St. Vital 6 was, but they’re two different buildings and two different theatres.
In my opinion, they deserve their own listings.
