Darren is right! The entrance road next to Habitat/Mid Ohio is still there! This massive ozoner is just asleep under the foliage just waiting to reopen someday…😔😇😙
As of 2022, the outlines of the ramps are still visible on Google Earth!
Opened On July 14, 1950 With “Red River” And “Everybody’s Dancing” with no extra short subjects.
Check out this music video, circa 1990, for lots of views of the Linden Air, which was abandoned but still standing at that time. I worked on this video, and we shot lots of it around the drive-in:

I still have a big red marquee letter “Z” which I picked up off the ground during the shoot.
Google maps too far north on this one. Should be located just north of the Oakland Park/Westerville Road (Rt. 3) intersection.
O.K. interesting looking marquee.
The land was purchased on 2/24/2000 for almost $600,000. There are no buildings on the property, just some blacktop from 1965. Use is listed as for churches/public worship.
This theatre opened on July 14, 1950 with the films RED RIVER and EVERYBODY’S DANCIN'.
What does the developer plan to build here?

I don’t see any record that this was ever owned by the Schottenstein family.
Here is another photo. This drive-in is demolished.

i remember seeing gremlins at this drive-in.
the screen and the sign have been torn down.
In 1956 it parked 450 cars and was owned by W.Queen.
Dont think ever went to this one, thinking it was bad part of town, when it was open. Remember passing the area it was located in later years.
^That is actually my Flickr page… and I have several photos of the Linden Air taken within the past few months.
Is there any way anyone can find out when it closed… when it opened… and pictures of when it was at it’s peak? I’m dying to see!
PROPREY IS OWEND BY SHOTTENSTIN SCREEN MUST BE A SHELBY JHM
Is it used for anything now? Sometimes drive-ins make good locations for outdoor swap meets, for instance.

By the way, Forgotten Ohio’s page says it was a single-screen, not a triplex. Are they wrong?
Columbus used to have so many drive-ins that they took up a whole separate section of the Dispatch daily movie listings. Besides this one, there was the Eastside, the 40 East, the Kingman, Miles East Main, Miles North High, and others whose names I no longer remember. (There’s a longer list here.)
Forgotten Ohio has a whole page of photos of the Linden Air, long closed and overgrown with trees.
CinemaTour.com lists the Linden Air’s address as 3168 Westerville Rd.
