The original Arabesque façade of the building remains. It had a Kimball organ installed in 1925. The Arabian Theatre was closed in 1954 and has been converted into a church.

I went to Saturday matinees at this theater in the 1940s. We would see two features, a comedy, a serial, and a newsreel for $.09 (because if they had charged $.10 they would have had to charge a tax). Popcorn, candy, and the bus were each $.05. We each got $.25 and would have to decide whether to have candy and popcorn or take the bus. Many times it was a long walk home in the rain.
My dad went to this theatre years ago and I think he said he won a prize in a drawing here once. In the depression probably. Still a wonderful building that looks much like it did in the past. Would be nice to see interior pics of the theatre from the past and the present.
