I have a photo of the Garden Theatre from 1961. The marquee shows “The Longest Day starring John Wayne” Email me at richiegems@gmail.com and I’d be happy to send it toanyone.
The status of this theater should be “demolished” Happened many years ago
On page 67 of Images of America: Downtown Paterson there is a close up photo of the crowd in 1919 waiting to see “Passion” starring Pola Negri. Not a good view of the theatre. Caption states that theatre was built in 1915 and was demolished to make room for Hamilton Plaza.
Does anyone have a picture of the Garden?
Looks like it was an adult theater in 1967 (posting courtesy of Bill Huelbig):

I must have bad eyes because I can’t see the theater.
An Estey organ, opus 1485, was installed in this theater in 1916.
