I have a photo of the Garden Theatre from 1961. The marquee shows “The Longest Day starring John Wayne” Email me at and I’d be happy to send it toanyone.

The status of this theater should be “demolished” Happened many years ago

On page 67 of Images of America: Downtown Paterson there is a close up photo of the crowd in 1919 waiting to see “Passion” starring Pola Negri. Not a good view of the theatre. Caption states that theatre was built in 1915 and was demolished to make room for Hamilton Plaza.

An Estey organ, opus 1485, was installed in this theater in 1916.
