Became the Shrewsbury Plaza Cinema I,II, & III on June 16, 1977. It then Closed October 23, 1994 with “Forrest Gump,” “Clear & Present Danger” and “Little Giants.”

May 25th, 1973 grand opening ad in photo section.

Was opened as a twin, one theatre eventually split in half to make 3.

I think “ROCKY HORROR” played every GCC theatre on Midnight shows.

This cinema had one of those blue box screens with no curtains in the main auditorium. There were two smaller theatres on the other side that were pretty typical.

After the movie theatre closed somewhere around 1994-1995, it was first replaced by a Sears Hardware store, and now an A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts Superstore. The building is still the same and you can make out that it was a movie theatre at one time.
