The Center Drive-In opened on July 1, 1949 with William Bendix in “The Babe Ruth Story”. In 1953 the name was changed to the Bedford Drive-In. This drive-in had a capacity for 300 cars. The Bedford Drive-In closed around 1982.

Ironically, there’s a brand-new drive-in planned for Moneta, in the southern part of the county near Smith Mountain Lake. I’ll put up a listing for it when it gets built.
