since its closing in 1984 , later years . a major chain grocery store called food lion bought the property to build there store there. which has been there for around about 14 years. if anyone has any pictures or any other old info about this old drive-in please feel free to comment.
During the summer of 1974, I worked in Tazewell. I remember this drive-in was open. One of the features was a film called “Preacher Man Meets Widow Woman.” I certainly couldn’t forget a classic like that!
i went to this theater many times in my childhood, movies i remember seeing are smokey and the bandit, kentucky fried movie, the deep, star wars, car wash, sat night fever, jaws, and many more that i cannot remember because i was so young, i probably saw my first movie there around 1969 or 1970……beautiful memories!

Does anybody know any info about the Tazewell Twin Cinema located across the street from the Sunset Drive-In at the Fourways Shopping Center in North Tazewell? There was not a lot of info that I can find rather than where the theater is located and a July 1994 picture of close-eye view of both the doors and the Now Showing poster.
