Pitts Culpeper Drive-In

The Pitts Drive-In opened around October 31, 1950. This drive-in had a capacity for approximately 300 cars. In 1970 the name was changed to Pitts Culpeper Drive-In. This drive-in closed on September 1, 1985 with Eddie Murphy in “Beverly Hills Cop” & Tom Cruise in “Risky Business”.

This was listed in the 1963 motion picture almanac as the Pitts Culpeper Drive-In Theatre. Kind of covers all the bases.

The Pitts Drive-In opened around Halloween 1950, renamed the Culpeper Drive-In in 1970, and closed on September 1, 1985 with “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Risky Business”.
