The Princess Theater opened in the 1920’s. It was renamed Clinton Theater in 1947, and was closed in 1954.

The same details are given as above in the 1941 and 1943 editions of F.D.Y. and the Princess is the only theatre listed for Beckemeyer, IL. In the 1950 edition the only theatre in town (population 900) is the 250 seat Clinton Theatre. A new name for the Princess Theatre?
This theatre has been shut down for a looong time, not even sure what the address was or if the building is still standing. The town now has about 1,100 people but not nearly enough to support a theatre. I know a man named Deane Ducomb used to manage it.
