The LaSalle Theater, opened about 1912, and designed by Victor Andre Matteson, is listed as open with seating for 744 and operated by a subsidiary of Paramount Pictures in the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook.
By 1951, according to the Film Daily Yearbook from that year, seating had been increased to 846 and was by then part of the Alger Theaters chain of LaSalle. It was located on First Street near Joliet Street and has been demolished, leaving a vacant lot which remains in 2015.
