Located in the costal town of Humacao the Teatro Victoria de Humacao opened its doors as a performing arts hall in 1928. The three story Teatro Victoria stands proudly on the historic streets of urban Humacao, it is a wonderful example of Spanish Colonial architecture.
The Teatro Victoria was latter converted into a movie theater, and continued until it fell victim to the large multi-screen mega-cinemas.
Currently the Teatro Victoria is undergoing a $3,878,000 restoration, which seeks to restore the Teatro Victoria to its former beauty and reopen it as a performing center for the fine arts.

What a pretty exterior! Can anyone provide info on the state of the interior renovation? Also, the theater exterior appears to be for a theater that would accomodate more than the 300 seats stated in the intro.
ALSO KNOWN AS – Antigua Teatro Victoria de Humacao
Can anyone come up with the exact address so we can locate it on the maps?
Any updates on the $3,878,000 restoration?
Any photos?
Thanks
They haven’t finished the renovation? About two years ago I passed by Humacao and saw that beautiful theater in front of the town’s plaza. Had no idea Humacao had such a beautiful theater. Why is it taking so long to renovate?
I think they gave up on the renovation. Something happened to the funds. They might have done structural reenforcements but the theater’s doors were boarded up and then they did some kind of art project on the façade.
How sad, Davsot. Are you aware of this conference on PR theaters?
