Pix Theater

The Pix Theatre was opened on October 16, 1945 with Kay Francis in “Divorce”. It was closed on April 28, 1957 with Johnny Carroll in “Rock Baby - Rock It”. By 2014 it housed an antique store. It is said to have been destroyed by a fire.

Listed in the 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity of 425.

Jim Kelley and W. Frank Deaton launched the Pix Theatre in 1945. The pair would then add the Alva Drive-In on June 14, 1950. Homer Jones then purchased both theaters in April of 1957. The theatre closed permanently on April 28, 1957 with Don Coates and The Bon-Aires in “Rock Baby - Rock It!”
