Clarksville, TN: Governor's Square Mall Movie Theater Coming This Summer [Mar 10, 2025]
The Governor’s Square theatre will be reopened in the summer of 2025 by the Michigan based Phoenix Theatres. The new theatre will include 5 screens of Dolby ATMOS, VIP heated recliners, new wall to wall screens and a new expanded lobby design.

Clarksvillenow.com reports that AMC will be closing this theater after business on 8/25/2024. The mall management says they’re in discussions to replace AMC with a different operator.
UPDATE: Theaters name is now AMC CLASSIC Governor’s Square 10
UPDATE: This opened on December 9th, 1988 as Governor’s Square Mall cinemas with 5 screens by the infamous Rand Theatres. It closed on October 8th, 1989 for not paying state taxes. Ir reopened by Carmike Cinemas on February 2nd, 1990 as Cinema V.

I worked on the retrofit of the new 5 auditoriums really an improvement. The retro was finished in Apr. 2005
Per carmike.com all 10 screens now have stadium seating.
