The Colonial Theatre opened in 1918 and was off the books by 1930. It might have been part of the Crescent Amusement circuit. It was renamed Elite Theatre in around 1926.

If the address is right this theatre would have been near the Howard School Building and the Childrens Museum.
The Colonial was owned by one John F Marshall by 1918. In about 1926 it became the Elite (possibly having been bought by Crescent at the time) and survived under this name until demolished about 1935 or 36 and replaced by the Capitol. Note there were four Elites and two Capitols here at various times.
Why is there no listing for the Colonial Drive-In on Gallatin Road in Madison, or for that matter why not the Montague Drive-In also in Madison?
Dave the Montaque Drive-in is listed on C.T. Now.
theatre needs alot more information must have never made it to talkies.
This is one of four Elite Theatresin Nashville over the years,all long gone.
