The Century Rancho Santa Fe was opened on September 1, 1995. It closed to make room for it’s new big brother Century 16 Santa Fe Station across the street. The last show was on May 12, 2005. It stood empty for six years before being converted into a church.

The Century Rancho Santa Fe had 16 screens not 12.
It also had the shortest life of any theater ever built in Las Vegas, I would guess.
This theater had a MAJOR problem of gangs roaming the parking lot and causing trouble. They “claimed” it. And people just stopped coming to the movies there.
A correction to the title description, the building was not demolished and has since been re-purposed into a huge Christian church as of last year, though it stood neglected for a good six years.
I remember gangs taking it over in it’s waning years. It was depressing because it was a really neat theater and I’d go there often.
This opened with a charity event on August 1st, 1995 and the official opening on September 1st, 1995. Grand opening ads posted. Century Theatres promoted the fact that their cinemas were not in casinos.
Correction: the Charity event took place on August 31st, 1995.
