Was this a theare AMC had tro sell from the purchase of Loews?
This is my theater and I can confirm that it is and will be an AMC Theatre for quite sometime. It is an original AMC built in 1996. It has stadium seating, and can seat 1774 total. The architect is David M. Schwarz and it is his firm that built it. He is the same architect that designed the Bass Performance hall that is one block over.
This opened on May 24th, 1996. Both downtown AMC cinemas were listed together as “AMC 20 Theatres at Sundance Square”. The grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
