Please update, rename GTC Merchants Walk Cinema as per website and total screens is now 14 screens. General Cinema ceased operation at the end of September 2000, GTC took operation on December 22, 2000. 4 screens open on May 31, 2002 and and another 2 screens added later on, date unknown.

This opened on October 24th, 1986. Grand opening ad in photo section.

The conversion of the Merchants Walk Cinemas into a stadium-style multiplex for Georgia Theatre Company II was designed by Alpharetta, Georgia, architectural firm Hiscutt & Associates.

Glad to see it’s still operational — i worked there in 1987, when an 8-screen theatre was still revolutionary.
