Follow up to my previous comment: They are removing the 3D filters whenever a house is dedicated to a 2D movie. However, when a house is shared between a 3D and 2D movie (or when a single movie, like JOHN CARTER, has both 3D and 2D shows in the same house), they are still leaving the filters in place. Maddening.
Projection here is now all digital. They had a problem for a while with their 3D-capable houses always having the 3D lens and filters in place regardless of whether it was 2D or 3D content showing; apparently Regal has now issued a company-wide decree that this is not to be done, so hopefully it’ll be better now. The 2D-only houses look great.
Regal is adding a digital IMAX screen to this theater in December, 2010: View link
