Opened on May 19, 1950 with Tyrone Power in “Brigham Young”. The Motor Vu Theatre is located in the very small town of Erda, but it is located on the busy road to the rapidly-growing city of Tooele. The original screen was blown down in a tornado in 1993. It is one of few remaining drive-in theaters in Utah. By April 2023 it had been renamed Erda Drive-In

From that website: The Motor Vu Theater in Erda, Utah was built in 1949. The theater has a maximum capacity of 650 cars, although we tend to try to keep things below 400 for safety. The original screen was destroyed by a small tornado in 1993. Our drive in features digital projection and a working FM radio is required for sound.
