The Strand Theater was opened July 4, 1916. The Strand Theater closed as a movie theater on November 3, 1957 with a Debbie Reynolds double bill: “Tammy and the Bachelor” & “Susan Slept Here”. For a while afterward it was used for special events.

Love the admission 10-25 cents. I’ve seen some 15cents and more alot earlier, pre depression. Definitely a bargain.

Opened on July 4th 1916 with seating for 500. Manager: H. H. Johnston. 2 x Power’s 6a projection machines. Ran an all feature program which changed daily. Admission: 10 cents
