This opened on May 25th, 2001. Grand opening ad posted
Frank Theatres is opening a new theater along with a bowling alley and restaurant.
The Crown Theatres in Abacoa Town Center was one of nine multiplexes designed for the Crown Theatres chain by Port Washington, New York, architect James Thomas Martino. There were 16 stadium-seated auditoriums for regular films, and one large format auditorium, for a total seating capacity of 3,825.
I am interested in rental or purchase information for this venue. Please contact me with any information. Thanks 734.645.6500. Tim Phillips.
Was this theatre equipped with IMAX?
The theater had a history of operating losses aparently and Crown cut it’s losses and bounced out of that location. Before closing they had Crown Movie Madness – adults were $6.00, children/seniors/students and shows before 6PM were $4.00 – everyday. They also had an Odyessy screen (Crown also has one of these LSF theaters in Hartford, CT).
What happened? Hurricane?
