The Sequoyah Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Sallisaw on North Oak Street and Choctaw Avenue. The Sequoyah Theatre was opened on April 24, 1951 with Debra Paget in “Bird of Paradise”. It was operating as an independent showing first run attractions. It was destryed by fire in March 1966.
It was rebuilt and reopened on June 30, 1967 with Burt Lancaster in “The Professionals”.
It was closed in late-2019.

The husband-and-wife team of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips opened the 600-seat Sequoyah Theatre’s doors on April 24, 1951 with Louis Jourdan in “Birds Of Paradise” with no extras.
Theater is closed. Phone disconnected. Status should be “Closed”
The Sequoyah Theatre had been closed since the early-2010s. It was already closed by 2013.

The Sequoyah Theatre was destroyed by a fire in March 1966. It was rebuilt and reopened on June 30, 1967 with Burt Lancaster in “The Professionals”. The theater briefly closed in 2012 because of the lack of digital projection, but reopened after receiving it in 2013.
